Big Book Club Tea Party
Lisa loves that book clubs read her, and she wishes that she could visit more throughout the year. As a thank you for putting her on their reading list, Lisa decided to throw a Big Book Club Tea Party at her house. So, on October 14th, about 125 book club members came from as far away as the Jersey Shore, Harrisburg, PA, and the coal-mining Centralia, PA area, which was a key location in DIRTY BLONDE. (The Centralia club even brought a sixty-pound hunk of anthracite coal, which now sits on Lisa's front lawn!) Lisa served tea sandwiches, caffeine and carbs, and a string quartet played music (oh so classy!). Everyone spent the afternoon gabbing about the thing that bonds them all - their love of books. It was a glorious day and lots of fun, and Lisa hopes to have an even bigger party next year. If you would like to join the fun next year, you will need to submit your book club's picture to Lisa's book club contest. If you don't belong to a book club, you can start one. No club is too big or too small.
